And God blessed them; and God said to them, Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of heaven and over every living thing that moves upon the earth.
Why did God created man? What were the reason and the purpose of the creation of man? From the blessing after creation, God put man in a position to control the earth and everything with in the earth. The fall of man was not the plan of God. What an enormous responsibility were. Man was created to be dominion over the earth!
Naming all the plants, animals, etc were man’s job. How big and how wide just these fraction of the responsibility were. To understand this, just open encyclopedias and you will find out the depth and width of the responsibility which was given to man.
According to the blessing yes man fulfilled to multiply and fill the earth. Did man replenish the earth? Of course not! Today the environmental activists are crying to save the earth for the coming generation, as if the solution can come from the fallen man. The resource depletion statstics paramount at the United Nation office. Billions and billions of dollars were spent to save the earth. It has become the gospel of the media and the politician. Don’t get me wrong, I believe in sustainability. We are accountable for the depletion of the resources.
But the good news is our Lord resolved the personal or individual issue at his first coming. He will resolve the social, political, and ecological issues at his seconf coming. Oh Lord Jesus come! He will resolve once and for all. We don’t need politicians, parties, organizations, fund raisers, you name it. But Jesus our Lord will be good enough! Oh hallelujah!
